Convoy of Hope

Founded in 1994, Convoy of Hope is a faith-based humanitarian organization dedicated to helping individuals and families facing hunger, poverty, and crisis. Its work centers on meeting immediate needs while supporting long-term solutions through disaster response, children’s feeding programs, community outreach, and partnerships with churches, businesses, civic groups, and government agencies. During natural or humanitarian emergencies, the organization responds by delivering essential supplies, including food, clean water, hygiene items, and other necessities. When possible, this support continues beyond the initial response to assist communities as they recover and rebuild. These efforts are guided by a commitment to serve with care, efficiency, and respect for those affected. Addressing food insecurity is a significant focus of its mission. Children’s feeding initiatives provide daily meals to students in vulnerable communities, helping improve nutrition and support consistent school attendance. In addition, agricultural programs offer training in sustainable production methods that help individuals and families grow more food, strengthen livelihoods, and reduce long-term dependence on aid. The organization also invests in women and girls through empowerment programs. Women are supported as they start small businesses and work to provide for their families, while receiving training in health, hygiene, nutrition, literacy, cooking, agriculture, and early childhood development. Girls’ programs focus on self-esteem, healthy decision-making, food, and physical and emotional well-being to help them prepare for the future. Supported by donated goods, financial contributions, and volunteers, Convoy of Hope operates with a strong emphasis on stewardship and accountability. Since its founding, it has served in more than 130 countries and reached over 350 million people through consistent, compassionate service.
