Public Health Specialist, Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP)
Pakistan

When I started this blog, I was a Public Health student, curious, idealistic, and endlessly questioning the world around me. I wrote about the things I believed in, questioned, and hoped could make the world a little kinder and more just. A lot has changed since then. Nearly a decade later, I am a Public Health Specialist and researcher, working across Pakistan, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, and Sindh. My journey from classrooms to communities has taught me that public health is far more than statistics, policies, and programmes, it is ultimately about people, dignity, equality, and the right to live healthy and meaningful lives. My work has deepened my belief that health is inseparable from social justice, education, opportunity, gender, poverty, environment, and the circumstances in which people live. I am still learning. Still reading, researching, writing, and questioning. Because after nearly a decade in public health, I have learned one simple truth: Behind every statistic is a person. Behind every policy is a life. Behind every public health problem is a human story.
