San Diego, CA

My name is Tom Waldron and I am recently retired. I taught English at a suburban San Diego high school for 36 years. Yes, 36 years, same school. By the end of it, I loved my kids, my subject, the community, and a few of my colleagues. I have lived in the same house for 34 years and am still married to the young woman I met when I was a junior in high school. Our two children are now making their way in the world as adults and it has been a pleasure to watch them set their courses in entirely different directions. I have always felt I have lived a small life, opting for stability over risk-taking and so hesitated to start this blog initially because I wasn't sure I had stories to tell. Turns out I was wrong. Every article I write is a challenge and a pleasure. I cherish every "Like", "Follow" or "Comment" from my readers, so please use them liberally. It's nice to know when something I've written connects with someone else out there. Welcome. P.S. On today (February 1, 1017) my statistics blew up and I've had over 400 visitors to my blog which averages about 10 visits on an average day unless I have posted an article. Can anyone leave me a comment somewhere and let me know how you found me? Did a particular article get linked somewhere? I love the traffic, I just can't figure where it's coming from! I'm glad you stopped by, and feel free to browse around!
